Olalihytten is situated 1,5- 2 hour walk from the parking place on Opheim in Ølen community, app. 50 km east of Haugesund. Today we took part in a family hike to this locally "famous" hut, especially popular for cross country skiing in the winter. Todays tour went on marked paths, but we got wet and muddy, after the rain earlier this week. Click and read yourselv through the following pictures and text, to get an impression of the beutiful and easily accessible  areas called the Etne mountains.

1. Vi startet i samlet tropp fra Opheim / Hike start from the parking place on Opheim
2. Flott oversikt mot Ølenfjellene fra første rasteplass / fine view towards the mountains in Ølen from the first resting place.
3. Underveis går vi i løyper som Turistforeningen har merket med tydelige røde T'er og varder / The paths are marked by red T's painted on the rocks.
4. Vi krysser myrer og bekker / we walk over marsh areas and creeks
5. Etter nesten 2,5 time (inkl 2 pauser) er vi fremme ved Olalihytten. / After almost 2,5 hour walk, including the resting time, we arrive at the Olalia hut.
6. Her tar Eivind Hammer fra Turistforeningen imot oss / Eivind Hammer from the Tourist assisiation, welcomes us.
7. og voksne og barn inntar mat og drikke mens sokker og sko tørker i solen / and we have hot dog's,  coffee and limonade, while shoes and socks are drying after the tour.
8. Olalihytten ligger flott til med utsikt mot syd / the large hut, with 50 beds, is situated in the hillside towards south, and with a splendid view.

Returen tok 1 time og 10 minutter, men da uten stopp / we returned to the car in 1 hour and 10 minutes, but with no rest or breaks.
