Bokn - den lille og rolige øykommunen
som de færreste av oss hadde besøkt på annen måte
enn ved anløp av hurtigbåten på vei til eller fra Stavanger.
Nå er det annerledes. Skal vi sørover nå, er veien over
Bokn den raskeste og greieste. Her er noen glimt fra kommunegrense nord
til Arsvågen ferjekai i sør:

App. 30 km drive from Haugesund, first
10 km eastwards, then southwards from Aksdal, we find the island community
Bokn. From beeing some quiet islands with fisheries, farming and a few
ferry visits a day, the new main road towards Stavanger changed everything.
Today the population is growing - and thousands of cars pass the islands
and the bridges to go to or from the Stavanger area. The pictures today
bring you from all north (picture above, showing the border between Tysvær
and Bokn) to south and the Arsvågen ferry terminal.
