Vi lar bildet over symbolisere det som
skal skje i November. Da skal nemlig den nye Vardhallen tas i bruk, og
delvis avløse utetrening på Gymnasbanene. Med et areal på
66 x 44 meter og takhøyde på 10 m, vil Vard, FKH og noen flere
med kunne kjøpe treningstid under tak. Og med de værmessige
fremtidsvyene vi fikk servert på nyhetene i går, trenger vi
nok flere slike haller her i fotballbyen Haugesund.
Storhalldiskusjonen i Haugesund er ikke
lagt død selv om Haugesund nå får en ganske stor fotballhall.
For den egentlige storhallen skal ha dimensjoner som gjør at den
kan brukes til tippeligakamper. Det egner store, men likevel lille, Vardhallen
seg ikke til.

November 4. the new Vardhallen will be
ready for use, giving some of the many soccer teams in Haugesund better
training conditions. It's 66 x 44 m large, with 10 meters under the roof
top. Not large enough for the soccer league games - but very well adapted
for wintertime training now when the weather conditions is predicted to
go from bad to worse because of climatic changes (On the news yesterday).
They still discuss making a really large
soccer hall - and we will need it.
