Syd-Karmøy er kjent for så
mangt. Seilskip har lange tradisjoner. Seilbrett er litt ferskere, men
i det miljøet vet man etterhvert godt hvor på kartet Karmøy
er. I helgen ble det til og med arrangert NM i brettseiling på Åkrasanden.
Bildet over er tatt på Ferkingstad, og viser et felt med fin fart
i den friske vinden som dette området har så mye av.

The southern parts of Karmøy is
widely known for many things, among them Skudeneshavn - and sailships.
Windsurfing is a newer speciality, and among surfers, this area is well
known. This weekend, they even had the Norwegian national championship
on Åkrasanden. The above picture is shot in the Ferkingstad area,
showing a bunch of surfers in good speed along the Karmøy west coast
in the typical, strong wind.
Our photographer Tove visited Skudeneshavn
