Flott nytt skip til Østensjø rederi
Lørdag den 12. januar 2008 døpte Østensjø Rederi's sitt nyeste skip - like utenfor rederikontorene på Indre kai. MS Edda Fauna ble navnet på det som er definert som et "Inspection maintainance & repair ship" og som er spesiellt konstruert for å operere i værharde havområder under nordlige himmelstrøk.
Skipet ruvet i Smedasundet der den var fortøyd i forbindelse med dåpen lørdag den 12. januar. Etter dåpen inviterte rederiet til "åpent skip", og folk strømmet til og utforsket den flotte båten, fra maskinrom i bunn til antenneplatået 25-30 meter over kainivå.
Vi tok oss også en tur ombord.
 Fantastic new ship presented in Haugesund
MS Edda Fauna was presented by the local based Østensjø Rederi AS on Saturday January 12, just outside their main offices on the Inner quay in Haugesund. The splendid, new ship is designed as an inspection maintainance and repair vessel for operation in northern waters and with high focus on excellent manouverability and station keeping capabilities.
Still another fine ship from the leading shipping region of Norway, the Haugesund region.
