 Diane and family visiting their roots
From sunny California Diane and Joe Gil are here again, with her children and grandchild this time. Eight years ago, this site helped them find family here, and they came to say hello in september 2000. This time they bring family, too. Unluckily, so far, their visiting period has been wet and cold, but we got a short break and even some glimpses of the sun when we arranged for them taking a trip with "Flytten" today. Seeing Haugesund from the sea side is worth trying, and the flytt captain Ole Hauge is an experienced man on the rudder.

We even visited a famous secret, now beeing used in its second film shot in Haugesund. The boat garage of Ola Sandvold in the "basement" of his house by Smedasundet.

And we passed the Rica maritim Hotel. When the Sildjazz starts off in 2 or 3 weeks, it will be finished after a couple of years of upgrading. The stage with the high towers in the water will give us lots of comments and make a lot of discussions in the years to come.
