 Den Norske Tulipanbyen
I fjor høstet plantet våre kommunale gartnere titusener av blomsterløker i byens større rundkjøringer. I går monterte kollegene deres jubileumsbannere på lysmasten midt i noen av rundkjøringsøyene. Dermed får vi dobbel effekt av den flotte maisolen nå om dagene. Kanskje Haugesund heretter kan kalles Norges Tulipanby?
 The Norwegian Tulip Town
Last fall our community gardeners planted tens of thousands of tulips and other, later summer flowers in the larger central traffic islands called roundabouts. yesterday, jubilee banners were installed on the light towers in theirs midst. These days, they give us an extra effect of the beautiful may sun (not unusual) in Haugesund, the 150 year jubilee town on the west coast of Norway. May be Haugesund should be called the Tulip town of Norway?
