 Spring around the corner
Today
I suddenly became aware that the huge "Kvitebjørn"
offshore oil and gas module was gone from the
Ridøy plant. We have had heavy fog for a day
or two, and somewhere between 14.05 and 18.05
someone pulled the 10.800 ton module out of
it's cryb towards north. I was told today, that
the towing has made a stop in Bjørnefjord, south
of Bergen. And today,
a new module came in to be prepared for the
Kvitebjørn field, as well.

Smedasundet, things are beginningly feeling
like sping. A couple of shots shot during a
short break in the ordinary work today ( Bilde

2 ) show all of you how winter is
loosening its snowless grip.
Streets
again
As
I have told you before, pieces of the streets
of Haugesund are closed for tubing change. Some
days ago, the part of Haraldsgaten
between Thuhauggaten and Oscarsgaten was
reopened, followed by new
digging towards Strandgaten. This seems
to be a never ending trauma, but it is absolutely
necessary, as the tubing and electrical wiring
under the streets are old and in bad shape.

Haugesundsanger som fikk tårene frem hos mange
av de fremmøtte sist torsdag. Anledningen var
et arrangement som skal sette oss i stemning
til Byjubileet neste år, og som ble holdt i
menighetshuset i sentrum.
